April 03, 2006 – Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV’s) will soon be able to be used as mobile loudspeakers. Acoustic broadcasts will be possible in wide areas without the need for local transmission or putting the lives of personnel at risk. Conquest Innovations, LLC. of Poulsbo, Washington, has been commissioned by the U.S. Government to develop and produce specialty loudspeaker systems, meant specifically for this purpose.
Conquest Innovations is a ground-breaking developer in acoustics, including long-range, high intelligibility systems for safety-critical, security, and military applications. Terry Conrad, Conquest’s president, stated, “As a relatively young firm, we are pleased to have been selected for this unique, critical effort. This technology will fill a specific niche, enabling our military to reduce personal risk in highly volatile areas. In short, this technology will save lives. As our second research & development contract, this is a welcome opportunity for us to continue our mandate in improving audio and acoustic technology.”
Conquest Innovations, LLC. was formed in 2004 by Terry Conrad, an industry professional with over 25 years experience in electronic and mechanical design of military and commercial audio hardware. They are the developer of Maxaphone, and MAX4, and AudioScattercasting™ technology.
